A bit shorter than last time (Chap 3 was over 11K words!) but this is going to be a kinda heavy chapter with more confessions.

This is kinda the feel-good chapter. Vanyel has bonding time with Yfandes and some girl talk with Donni. Donni gives him good advice, explains a bit about being Lifebonded.

He has visitors, and finds out he has more friends than he thought.

Though not to be completely without angst- we also see what he felt during Tylendel's Confession.

Hello everyone! I'm Blue Jay-jay, been a huge fan of Misty's works and most especially LHM since back in the day. I've been on a huge reading spree since I heard the announcement about the possible moving series, re-reading the series, looking for fan-art, and then followed a link from DevArt to Ao3 where I discovered the treasure-trove of fan-fic you darling and lovely people have been making. I've spent a couple of weeks reading everything I could find, and about halfway through chewing my way through the archives I was struck by the writing bug and sort maniacally banged out this start of a 'lendel Lives AU. (I also started to write a prompt fill but then realized it was for a several years old prompt and didn't know the protocol for necroing things?)

For my AU (Which I am tentatively calling 'Fire and Ice') I am running off the idea of what would have happened if Tylendel has messed up building the Gate? What if he didn't make it to the Leshara's, didn't get repudiated, didn't kill himself, and has to actually Deal With the Consequences of his stupid actions.

Um... sorry? This part is unhappy and unfinished and not very Christmas-y at all. I tried to bring Van and Tylendel back together, I really did, but maybe it's just the madness of my own life lately bleeding into this awful portion. I'm curious as to whether it even makes sense, frankly-- I have an idea of where to go from here.

This fic was really inspired by a terrible fanfiction one that always fascinated me-- can't quite recall the name, but Vanyel and Tylendel are together when Vanyel meets young Stefen. Thene, I know you asked for AU Van/Stefen get-together situations, but this might not be what you wanted! Still, I figured you all will read anything for this ship (hooray for this site).

Sidenote-- I apologize for the lack of appropriate spacing, but I'm still terrible at formatting. If it seems choppy, there was supposed to be a page break. Also, this fic is unfinished. I haven't been motivated/inspired to continue.

I DID NOT WRITE THESE. I am aware that reposting fics without the author's permission is very frowned upon, but I think this is a special case. These were apparently written before FF.N existed (or the author was just averse to FF.N for some reason, or else was just ignorant on how to post stuff to the internet, I have no idea). They are a couple of Word.docs that were uploaded directly to the internet via geocities (geocities!). No author name, no date, no email address, nothing.

The first one is silly-cute Van/Lendel, the second one is sweet Van/Stef (that fades to black instead of giving us porn, sob).

Um. So. I've been working on a Vanyel/Leareth AU. I posted the first part of this fic on LJ / AO3 (slightly more polished) right before Christmas...it is pretty much a whump trainwreck and that was even before it got to the dubcon hatesex part. So yeah, warnings for dubious consent, major character death and lots of trauma damage, self harm, really bad coping strategies, and so on.
