I decided I needed to finish it before updating the online version again (in case I decided to idk shelve the entire plot), and yays, now I have.

Here is chapter 5. I think there'll be three more updates, and as it's all written already I'll just put up a new one every two days until we're done. I don't want to flood this comm, so I just figured I should let you guys know so if you're interested you can keep going back to AO3 every other day (or just subscribe there).

I have read this and I am still trying to process it, oh my god how are you making this seem like there might actually be a happy ending. I always assumed Van would still blow himself up at the end of it but don't mind me.

I am line-editing the last real chapter rn, will let you know when it's up. I am sorry if the stupid mess of ontology is a barrier to processing - I'm not used to handling plot and I let it get in the way and I partly feel like the important part should have been two chapters ago when Lendel asked him about the 36 (I counted) people he'd just killed (mostly in canon, a few extra for the fic). agh who cares at least it's finished (ish).

why do i have to get ready for work now instead of reading this. goddamn bastard child of 3rd and 1st shift :( you are too kind, the new chapter of mptp is chugging along, i now have most of a rough draft completed and i dare to think i may have settled on a plot for the rest of it .__. and there is also more of like father, like daughter, featuring van/stef ust ;)

WHAT that sounds like the worst shift :( I've done midnight starts, and I've done 5am starts, but never anything in between.

I've done a good bit with that prompt you gave me, plus the start of something else entirely (post-canon Stef for the first time in a while - that used to be my crack and it is nice to get back to it, in a way). but ahahaha yaaay for UST!

If I could I would love to come in at midnight, that way I would be there absolutely all by myself except for the other opener who comes in at six, who is basically one of the few people working there I can stand to be around and actually like. :( It's not weird or difficult anymore getting up in the middle of the night, the hard part is going to bed while there's still hours of daylight left. :///
