Is there ever much of the Companions talking about their lives pre-Choosing? Not that I ever paid too close attention-- I tend to find the whole "destined bond" business a bit easy. One of the many reasons I love your Snowblind fics so much is Vanyel WITHOUT a Companion and the fallback friendship bond. I mean, how must it feel to be the person on the outside of the bond-- even if you are the lifebonded? Hence, teen Van or Stefen.
